Marcus Fisher, an accountant by day, started out in martial arts seeking something more promising than just going to the gym. Looking to learn a martial art that was effective and competitive, he chose Muay Thai. Motivated by the advancement of the sport, the tradition and honor, and the opportunity to travel and meet new people with the same goals and focus, Marcus has turned out a very impressive amateur career.
In October 2008 Marcus won the Light Middle Weight Title in an 8-Man tournament, despite the fact that all odds and expectations were set against him. He thereafter obtained sponsorship from Dynasty Collective Fight Gear. He went on to defend his title against a strong opponent in March of 2009.
A very hard working, dedicated and humble individual, Marcus thrives on being able to train and compete in front of his supportive fans. With his trainers Marc DeLuca and Stephen Strotmeyer in his corner, he has turned out some impressive wins for Take On including a unanimous decision against Mike Lavera in October and a majority decision in a battle against Canada’s Preston Baptiste in December 2009. Expect great things in the 155-165 weight divisions from Marcus in fights to come!!
